Say Farewell to Paul Highton - 23/9
Long serving player and official Paul Highton has left the club. After all his service over the years Forever Reds couldn’t let him go without a proper send off so we are holding a farewell event at Eccles ARLFC on Tuesday 23rd September (7.30). Free admission. All supporters welcome.
We’re still working on the details of the event but there will be a Q&A with Paul Highton, there may be some other players from his era, and there may be a quiz.
Meeting Update - 29/1
Salford’s own prodigal son, Adrian Morley will be guest at the Forever Reds open supporters meeting at Eccles ARLFC at 7.30pm on Wednesday 29th January.
With one of the key aims of the meeting being to discuss the establishment of localised supporters groups around Salford (and beyond) it seemed fitting for the city’s highest profile RL product for many a year to join us as a guest on the evening to meet supporters.
Entrance is free to all, and we are particularly keen to get involvement from anyone interested to take a lead on, or take part in, a local supporters group. More information will be provided on the night, or if you’re interested and can’t attend, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Forever Reds Meeting - 29th January
The next Forever Reds open supporters meeting will be held at Eccles ARLFC on Wednesday 29th January at 7.30. The meeting will mostly be focussed on off-field activities and we are particularly keen to look at establishing supporters groups around different parts of the city - with work already being done to look at groups in Irlam/Cadishead, Walkden/Little Hulton, Eccles, Weaste and the Height. Groups could look at issues such as transport from their areas and how word of the Devilution could be spread locally (or just have a drink and talk rugby). Niel Wood from Salford Red Devils will be joining us on the night.
If you’d like to get involved with an area group, either turn up on the night for discussion, or email email@example.com to contribute.
Social Quiz & Meet the Players
On Tuesday 29th October there will be a social evening at the Salford Stadium giving people the chance to meet some of the new look 2014 Salford Red Devils squad. For £5 admission you get a spot on a quiz team (with players spread across teams) and a pie, pea & mash supper (veggie options available if notified when you book). The quiz will be designed to give a real spread and give everyone a chance of winning. The emphasis is on being an enjoyable social night, not being Mastermind!
The event will be at 7.30 in the Cadishead Lounge and there will be a full bar on. If you’ve not yet got your 2014 season ticket you’ll be able to buy them on the night, before the early-bird deadline.
We will also be providing details on the night of a new initiative that Forever Reds are working on with the club to help get social supporter groups established in different parts of the city.
It would really help if we know numbers in advance, so to book a space for you or your team please call 0161 820 2738 or email firstname.lastname@example.org – you can book your place and then pay on the night.
Forever Reds Meeting with Dave Matthews and Niel Wood
The next Forever Reds open meeting will be held at Eccles ARLFC (Hallsworth Road, M30 7LS) on Monday 9th September at 7.30 pm.
The guests on the night to take questions from supporters are new Chief Executive Dave Matthew, and recent secondee from the RFL Niel Wood. This will be the first chance for fans to find out more about what the future holds for Salford Red Devils following the club’s launch event in the 5th.
The meeting is free to attend for all supporters.
Marwan Koukash to guest at Forever Reds on Monday
It’s the Forever Reds Annual General Meeting on Monday 3rd June at 7.30pm in the press room at Salford City Stadium. This is a member only meeting in which some of things a Supporters Trust legally has to do will be attended to.
Following on from the business part of the evening, at 8pm in the main Fans Bar at the Stadium there will be a Q&A session with new club Chairman Dr Marwan Koukash. This part of the evening will be open to members and non-members alike. Admission is free.
We expect this Q&A to be quite popular, so to help us plan the layout of the room and provide a decent number of seats we would be grateful if you could email email@example.com to let us know you are coming, or how many will be in your group. Thanks.
Limited T-Shirts Remaining
After huge demand at Sunday’s game and Monday’s Forever Reds meeting there are just 18 of the Forever Reds devil motif t-shirts (below) left. If you’re a medium or a large you are in luck because both sizes are still available in the grey version, but just large in the black version. The tee shirts are £10 and if you want to order one you can do it by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or sending a Facebook message to either Martin Orr or Paul Campbell who can usually be found posting on the Official Salford City Reds Facebook page, the Salford City Stadium Page, or the SOS page.
The bags (£20), as modelled by Jodie below, have now sold out, but a reorder is a possibility, so if you’re interested, again, let the guys know.
Ladies’ Night - 2/3/13
Tickets are still available for this Saturday’s Ladies’ Night at Walkabout in Manchester. Many of the Salford City Reds squad will be taking part in the night and there is a chance to bid to win a date with Jordan James. See attached poster for ticket info.
Ed Farish added to Monday’s Meeting
We’re pleased to announce that newly installed Chief Executive Ed Farish has been added to the guests at the Forever Reds meeting on Monday 25th February.
Ed will join Phil Vievers and Paul Highton at the meeting, which will be held in the Fans Bar at Salford City Stadium, with a 7.30 start. All fans are welcome and there will be a bar open.
